Sparks Endeavors crest — two lions flanking a shield with a north star

Real value, not strategy theater.

We invest in the trades — businesses that deliver, run by people who show up. Stoic wisdom, entrepreneurial drive, no theater.

Built, not bought. A new deal between the trades and capital: back builders, not just balance sheets. Residential and commercial construction ride different cycles and serve different customers, but enduring companies in both are built on the same three things — craftsmanship, straight dealing, and operators who love their people. Sparks Endeavors builds and backs businesses where those three compound for decades.

Books

Lessons worth writing down.

Two books, one question: what does it cost to build something — and what should it never cost you?

They Were Never in the Room

Forthcoming

A memoir. From foster care and seventeen schools to the top of a half-billion-dollar enterprise — and the voices carried into every negotiation, boardroom, and hard conversation along the way: the old critics and ghosts who were never actually in the room, and what it takes to stop letting them cast the deciding vote.

Everyone Has Your Strategy, Nobody Has Your Execution

In Progress

Strategy is table stakes — your competitors can read the same books and hire the same consultants. What they can't copy is execution: the culture, cadence, and people who turn a plan into a company. Twenty years of scaling trade businesses, distilled into how the best team beats the best plan.

Philosophy

The operating system: four Stoic virtues.

Every company in this portfolio, every page of the books, every talk from a stage runs on the same code the Stoics wrote two thousand years ago. Resilience in chaos; integrity in success.

Sophia

Wisdom

See things as they are — not as fear reports them, not as ego prefers them. Decide on evidence, hold opinions loosely, and let the scoreboard tell the truth.

Andreia

Courage

Do the hard right thing over the easy wrong one. Every worthwhile thing here started on a roof at eighteen; nothing worth building has ever been comfortable.

Dikaiosyne

Justice

Deal straight — with customers, crews, and partners. Fair pricing and transparency aren't marketing; they're the reason any of this deserves to exist.

Sophrosyne

Temperance

Success is not the same as peace. Discipline in prosperity, moderation at the peak, and the self-command to want what you already have.

Speaking

From the stage.

Keynotes and workshops for operators, owners, and the private-equity firms that back them.

About

Josh Sparks

Josh Sparks

Josh Sparks started at eighteen with a nail gun and a friend's offer of work on a Milwaukee roof in 1997. The company he went on to found became Infinity Home Services — 25 brands, more than half a billion dollars in revenue, and a standing mission to save communities from unscrupulous contractors.

Along the way he sold a stake to private equity, scaled through two growth transactions, and recently handed the CEO seat to a successor to serve as founder and chairman — trading day-to-day operations for the longer game: investing in the trades, writing, and speaking.

He lives in Franklin, Tennessee with his wife MaryJean and their five children. His life's mission is to live and advocate for Stoic wisdom and entrepreneurial drive — resilience in chaos, integrity in success.
